I am negotiating the purchase of an L3130 with FEL with QA and 66" heavy duty bucket. I plan to get a small tree shear soon so planned on the LA723 loader. My dealer is trying to tell me that the 723 is too much loader for the L3130. Can anyone give me comments relative to the L3130 and LA723. Since the flow and pressure specs are the same, what is the difference except for a little more weight?

I have an L3130 with the LA723. They are a good match. I don't think the price difference between it and the smaller loader was very much. I think the 723 is the only way to go unless you absoulutly can't afford to pay the difference.

I have the same combination of 723 loader and L3130. If you want it, go for it.

When Kubota offers an option they have tested it and feel that it is safe for there products. The one time to buy is the first time, if you feel you need the 723 buy it! ....

Follow up: Thanks for the comments. I am looking at a tree shear with a weight of 800 lbs. That does not leave enough working margin if I go with the LA513. Just wanted to be sure I was on firm ground when I push for the 723. Thanks ....

Hey,

Get the LA723. It's a better loader for not a lot more. You may as well get it an know your maxed out. My dealer tried his best to sell me the LA523 on my L3134, but I persisted. I am glad I did, it's strong. Don't be misled by a salesman who only has LA523s in stock. They will find you one and swap it out. It's not a big deal. This is a great tractor and loader (3130 or 3134) good luck to you.
